Here is a new post from guest blogger Sue, the owner of http://BuyPLRToday.com. If you are a writer there are many ways you can make money and start earning an income from your work. In this post, Sue shares her journey from job loss to a successful writing business…
From Freelance Writer to PLR Store Owner
I was just a regular mom that was trying to make money from home. I lost my job and had a really hard time trying to find a new one. At the same time I started looking online to see if there was a way to make some money.
I ended up joining a site where I could learn affiliate marketing but knew this was not going to bring me money in fast enough. Luckily this site had a job board and just for fun I posted my availability as a writer. My favorite subject at school was English and I was always writing stories at home. I even wrote my first novel when I was around 12! But that’s a story for another day!
I started getting clients and was actually making money from writing. It was fairly easy work but after a few months I was writing all day and not really making a full time income. Nobody was willing to pay top dollar for articles at this site. I started looking for additional ways to make money writing.
Then I stumbled across Tiffany Dow and she was just about to release her PLR ATM course. The concept of PLR (private label rights) articles and reports was fascinating to me. Plus the idea of writing an article one time and selling it multiple times was right up my alley! I was hooked and bought her course the day it was released.
I was already familiar with wordpress so putting up a new website wasn’t that difficult. I quickly had my site up and running and my next step was to fill it with content. I started writing packs of five articles and some short reports and offered them for sale through a WSO (Warrior Special Offer). That was an experience in itself but for my first time selling on the Warrior Forum it was a good experience. I had actually started building my own buyers list and it felt good.
Currently I still do freelance writing and ghostwriting and have written for many top internet marketers. Some of whom have helped me in my business by giving me support and insights. I still have one customer left from my original days on that one website which is now just over 2 years ago!
Along the way I discovered that I truly love to write and my next step in my writing career is to get a Kindle book published. Not sure yet about the topic as I love to write on various subjects, but just wait and see, hopefully a Kindle book is not too far off in my future.
I have to say that being a PLR provider is a great work from home experience. Hooking up with other PLR writers is absolutely a must. Everyone helps each other and many of us promote each other’s sites as an affiliate. It is one of those businesses were we can all work together without stepping on anyone’s toes.
